Acorn

Written by Zach Shaw

See the light between my teeth
Ripping you away
Turning in your fantasies
Tearing down you imagery
Begging you to stay

The beautiful boy in me will dance you down the drain
You are mine tonight
Burning down your orchard tree
Breeding with your fearful needs
Giving up the fight

The bloody Christ in me will crucify you tonight
The gods could soon be silver
Varnishing everything in glitter
Masquing your feet in the winter
Everything suffering silver

Silver in my head tonight
Lions and birds like a wonderful thought
Everything silver in the world tonight
Sex and imagination take silver a lot
Giving me silver eyes
Telling me silver lies
Shooting my gold good-byes
Painting my silver skies
Asking the rain to shine
Like silver
Shine like silver for me
Love
Love is so good to you
Love makes you beautiful
You are a lie
You are not here
You are a silver lie
In another hemisphere

Feel the ache when you taste my meat
Everything melts on your tongue
Touch me inside
Open me too wide
I want to melt on your skin

The lighter fluid in my veins needs you
Smoke me like a silver chain
Take my scream away
Sing my name today
Break me like a candy cane

The precious Beast in me must hate you
This cross with bare a stain
A piece of wood to enter you
Silver splinters will remain

Silver on my mind tonight
Floorless rooms in a wonderful thought
Everything silver in the car tonight
Drugs could never take such a silvery shot
Giving me silver tracks
Bringing your promise back
Wishing for the golden dreams they lack
Tainting my secret shame
Promising silver rain
To shine
To shine like silver
Shine like silver for me
Cry for me
Like silver
