Aphrodite's Gremlin
Written by Nick Plumlee
Sometimes when I am alone,
I dream of prophecies burned in stone.
I see visions of flame and strife.
I see the future without you, bleak and drear.
That is the only thing I have to fear.
Perhaps that is my lot in life.
But I am sure I need your touch.
Do you think I ask too much?
Damn you. You've captured my heart.
Did you know that you could steal
My soul? My mind? My power to feel?
Curse Cupid and his poison dart.
Explain to me what to do.
I have no destiny without you.
Search your heart for my face.
Can you really say good-bye?
Please say no; tell me a lie.
Only you can know my place...
