Love

Beyond any shadow of doubt

Beyond all reason

Changes everything

Turns the meek into heroes

The brazen to angles

The harshness of daylight

And softness of night

            Creamy words spoken in whispers

            Time means nothing

            Love

Through the vice-grip of pain

Through even treason

Enlightens us

Brightens the corners of our minds

Touches our hearts

Shimmers like silver across our souls

Sets our spirits free

            Glorious in its own right

            Time means nothing

            Love

In moments apart

Weathering the seasons

Is a savior

Sacred water in times of draught

Nourishment when hunger plagues us

Shelter from the storm

A ray of hope in the land of confusion

A constant companion combating loneliness

            And time is imminent

            It’s all love has
