Oh the miles I've walked to be by your side
Battling the elements
    The relentless wind
    The scorching sun
My desire for you keeps me moving on
    The day an evil adversary
Constantly waging war with my body
    Trying to break me
But my psyche struggles with you memory
I see a fountain up ahead
An oasis in my desert of searching
The water is clear and cool
Quenching the dryness in my throat
Though I know it won't quench the fire in my soul
My thirst for you is much deeper
Than a mere liquid can reach
Sinking to my knees in exhaustion
    Dying beside a fountain
From a fire that cannot be quenched
My eternal desire for you
