Air

Quarter till one

Wish you’d call

Hypnotized by the headlights on snowfall

Knock on my window

I’ll let you in

I need someone to sleep by my side

And you smell so good

In your leather and jeans

Blueberry still tainting

Your breath

Like a fire on my skin

You kick at me with your red-hot desire

A candle flickering with my unsteady breath

One in the a.m.

Needing you here

Tantalized by the breathing you do

Lying beside me

I let you in

Couldn’t possibly sleep tonight

And you look so good

By the slight firelight

Your face is a sight for sore eyes

Like probes of my soul

You look at me with deep-seated desire

And I breathe you in as my last breath
