Beckett's Demise

Jennifer Paige©1995

Red, red

Hospital bed

Time conquers all and we’ll all be dead

And after the blackened tears

Loneliness fades and their smile remains

But you hate the disease all the same

Blue, blue

Sky above our head

Turned black like the rain before sorrow came

No one understood

How could they show you?

When you never listened to doubts of fears

Loneliness fades yet your smile remains

And I hate the disease all the same
