Passion Star

Jennifer Paige©1995

A touch never gave me chills

The simple caressing of flesh with flesh

            Until you

And I never quivered at the sound of a voice

Nor have I orbited a dream

            Until you

This sparkle in my eyes, this smile on my lips,

The fire inside me were all dormant

            Until you

Now I don’t know what I’d do without these

A few brief moments with you send me to

The ends of the Universe where rays from

The Passion Star pool, all purple, behind your eyes

And a company of angels whisper in minor chords

A lament for their stolen souls

And the happiness they’ve lost is ours

Fueling the engine of you love

The sweet steam desire fogging our thoughts

And beading our bodies with swelter water

Honeyed words fall golden from your sweet lips

That touch me in felicitous desire

Adding to my sudden weakness

The addiction I never had

            Until you
