Baited

Baited
Like
my breath
And
I dangle there
Pensive
My
eyes find only blankness
Empty
space between the separation
Of footsteps
How
harsh the noise
The
clatter of plates, heels, techno-din
My
ears cringe and long for silence
Find
me Dark One
In
the calm before the storm
Blow
up the winds
I
am not afraid
Flash
your jagged lightning teeth
And
speak your thunder
I
shall not cringe
You
may spew the coldest, hardest rain
I
will not stay away
Hurl
hail to bruise my flesh
I stand unmoving still
