One shot

Three months

To capture on film Monet

Warhol

Water fowl

Winter water

In color

The deer with the world in its eye

Streaming sunlight

Through long black trees

Shaking cool fingers at the sky

Placid ponds

Hairs of frost

On glass

The frustration

Of not knowing

If snow or sun would come

Or if that was the “shot”

Worthy of one day in

Heaven
