Cycle of One (Haiku)
Jennifer Paige©1998
Thus
the frozen ground
Must
giveth way to weary
Heads
of fair violet
That
glow by warm day
In
patches of new greenry
And
smile at clear skies,
Only
to wither,
Crushed
by the violent hands of
The
suns furnaces,
Browned
and wilted, stilled
Stalks
bend in prayer to the ground.
The
cycle renews.
