Trust

Heartbeat accelerating
Pulse racing
In a cold sweat
Eyes darting, spaseming in their sockets
Fists clenched, I turn to look behind me
So paranoid in this world I don't know
Safety is light-years away
Lurking in the darkness
Something is there
It smell my fear emitted into the air
It pulls me towards it
With a gravity all its own
My heart says to stop fighting
Give in
Logic says keep resisting
Don't go
Torn between good and evil
Something and nothing
So tired, no more
Let the force overtake me
Pull me into its center
A feeling of semi-hell,
Semi-peace
Helplessness
A feeling I know too well
Trust
