Facing the night with our eyes shut tight

Marveling at what we've never seen

Fumble towards the light that eases our fright

But never illuminates who we could be

And we'll wander through time forgetting to be kind

Trying in vain, it seems, to please

Never finding the rhyme, which leads to the sublime

The place where all of chaos seems to cease

CHORUS    Where the winds blow free again

                    And the tide will flow and mend

                    The stars shine on as friends

                         Until we end

                         Until the end

We forget to say our thank you's when we pray

Worry more about the things we own

Thinking the problems that not plague the world will go away

Don't' realize that they are seeds we've sown

And we go day to day, take for granted the sun's rays

When reality could chill us to the bone

What words will convey that we must not delay

We have to change to heal our happy home
